Following a varied and rich career in the Auckland property development industry over the past decade, Huan saw where many of companies can go wrong and where the pain points commonly are when completing projects on time and on budget.  

 

The challenge

She knew she could create a solution that would remedy these challenges and such, fuelled her idea to create a consortium of experts, with commitment and investment to a core set of values all with the inclination and proven-track-record to offer a holistic end-to-end service that ultimately sees thriving communities created, with New Zealanders living in architecturally designed, spacious homes in safe, well-designed areas, with good access to amenities and  open spaces at a reasonable price.

 

A meeting of minds

Selecting the desired partners was no mean feat. Ensuring that each partner not only had the expertise and impeccable service levels to see the group through the typical pit-falls, but to find a meeting of minds when it came to the commitment to the overall vision and to keep that front and centre during the good and the gravely times. Having worked with each of the final partners over the years, Huan drew on those experiences.

From the ground up

Starting small while cementing their working relationships, the newly formed Taishan Building Group kicked off their first project with a small development in Henderson Heights. This 5 bedroom, 2 storey, was a real proof on concept for the group. Working together to overcome functional issues, using technical problem solving and turning ‘problems’ into beautiful features throughout the home. Their combined ability to approach a challenge with a different view saw this first build turn a house into a home.

 

Fast forward to 2019 and the group is developing 45 dwelling projects, on time, on budget with the fastest selling rate month on month. The concept is well and truly proven. Since 2020, our group has shifted its focus towards constructing terrace houses, and we have achieved remarkable success in completing multiple projects of this kind. Our journey begins with meticulous planning, conducting market research to determine the most suitable house typology for each location. Once the consenting stage is cleared, we proceed with subdivision work, culminating in the creation of exceptional homes that cater to first home buyers and investors alike. With a dedicated team, we prioritise efficiency to ensure a swift turnaround, resulting in a high return on investment for our valued stakeholders. In addition to our focus on building terrace houses, our team is adept at creating stunning stand-alone homes that cater to the discerning higher-end market.
